A Student Pass is not required if the educational program:
- Is completed within the duration of a short-term social visa or within 30 days, whichever is shorter.
- Is a standalone and autonomous module; courses with multiple program modules are excluded from the Student Pass issuance.
- Does not include practical professional training and/or industrial attachment that involves interaction with the public or is conducted in a business premises (e.g., a hair salon or beauty parlor).
The processing of a Student Pass in Singapore takes between 4 to 6 weeks, but it may take longer if additional documents are requested by the educational institution or the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore.
A Student Pass in Singapore does not allow you to work without additional permission.
