Who is eligible to receive:
Spouse of a Singapore citizen with a valid LTVP/ LTVP+.
Unmarried child under the age of 21 of a Singapore citizen or PR with a valid LTVP.
What is required to obtain a Letter of Consent:
Your LTVP/LTVP+ must be valid for at least 3 months as of the date of application
You must have a job offer from a Singapore employer
The proposed work should not be in questionable activities (hostesses, dancers/dancers in a nightclub, etc.).
From May 1, 2021 all Dependant's Pass holders require a work pass (S Pass, Employment Pass) instead of a valid work permit (LOC).

The LOC is valid until one of the following:
- The expiration date specified by the employer in the LOC application.
- The expiration date of your Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP or LTVP+).
Initial Issuance:
- One year from the date of issuance, or
- Until the expiration date of the Dependant Pass (DP), whichever comes first.
Until the expiration date of the Dependan’st Pass (DP).
- The Dependant’s Pass (DP) is canceled or expires.
- The business is no longer active. You must still cancel the LOC regardless of the business status.
To be eligible to apply for the LOC, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be the owner of one of the following types of business*:
- Sole Proprietor
- Partner
- Director of a company with at least 30% of the company's shares
- Your Dependant’s Pass (DP) must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of application.
- If you are a Dependant’s Pass holder seeking employment in Singapore, your employer will need to apply for a work visa for you (S Pass or Employment Pass).
- You cannot work, or your company and the position (for business owners) cannot be in questionable occupations (such as hostesses, nightclub dancers, etc.).
- To be eligible for renewal, you must employ at least one Singaporean citizen or Permanent Resident (PR) with a monthly salary of at least SGD 1,600 and contributions to the Singapore Central Provident Fund (CPF). At the time of renewal, the local employee must have been employed for at least 3 months and have corresponding CPF contributions.
- One local employee, who may be a company director if they receive the minimum salary and have official CPF contributions, is sufficient for issuing multiple LOCs, with a maximum of three LOCs allowed.
